Progressive cavity pumps are widely used in environment industry because of the features including continuous flow rate, stable pressure level, variable conveying and the ability to convey fluid containing solids. Different stages of wastewater and sludge treatment process can be handled by progressive cavity pumps that provide an efficient solution for environmental engineering. In the sludge dewatering and processing plants, the progressive cavity pumps are applied as feed pumps and mixing pumps because the flow rate changes very little within a certain pressure change range. The dewatered sludge contains solids content of different sizes and viscosities, and progressive cavity pumps are able to transfer sludge to further treatment efficiently. Progressive cavity pumps are suitable for metering of process chemicals that could be erosive or viscous, and maintain their polymer structure.
